In September of 1906, a man from a very well-known family, Percy Pierce had his very own motorcycle company which was known as the Pierce Cycle Company.

The company started with the help of his father's company the Pierce Great Arrow Motor Car Company. It was to be from this where Percy was to get his idea to establish his own company. Percy's father's company was able to produce several luxurious cars and it was in this firm, that Percy Pierce had worked and learned many important things, but particularly how to design and build a vehicle.

Percy Pierce then set out on his own to create his first motorcycle. It was this motorbike that Percy Pierce was able to introduce as an innovative design that was to be considered different from the other motorcycles in the market at the time.

By 1914, the manufacturing of the Percy Pierce Motorcycles had ceased as the company closed its doors for good.
