MG

MG cars are popularly among the top sports vehicles ever produced in the United Kingdom. MG as a car brand was named after a very well renowned British manufacturer of sports cars that had the same name. The company derived its name from the brand name of car dealer Morris, which was based in Oxford in the same country.

MG cars produced its first car models in 1925, though some historians argue that the company launched its initial vehicle models in 1925. The first MG car brand was carried out in a medium saloon called MG 14/28. The car was rolled out in the market from 1924 to 1927. Three car models later, in 1937, Mg introduced the MG VA car brand, which became a prototype of all other MG car brands sold into the market.

So far, the car maker has produced 13 medium sized car models. Mg has also produced four full-size cars, a single super car and three models of racing cars. Two vans and a concept car also complete the overall line-up of the company. But it was sports car models that really put MG cars on the map of global car makers. Starting with MG M-Type Midget and ending up the list so far with the MG TF.

MG cars were never so famous and recognised all over the world, not until the brand was identified with motor sports. As you all know, MG cars have been widely known and made popular with its involvement in the production of sports cars. Though the original cars of the company have been specifically made for general purpose, it's sports functioning that really made MG cars one of the most ‘in' car models nowadays.

Just like any other car company, MG cars have been subjected to a series of management changes through the years. Like every other car brand, many vehicle firms have owned and divested the MG car brand through the years. Currently, Nanjing Automobile Group owns the rights for the MG car brand.

Because MG has been declining in production and popularity, designing and producing the cars has slowed down. Thus, it is very rare that nowadays you would find a popular, modern and sophisticated MG car. If there are such cars in the market, it is a probability that those MG cars were inventories of the past.

Nanjing has announced plans to revive the MG car brand. Through the recent couple of years, Nanjing has already established and done measures to ensure the rolling out of modern and newly designed MG cars that are geared towards the future.

MG cars have the reputation to being gutsy and experimental look and feel of its car models. Thus, through the past decades, British and even global car enthusiasts have associated the word MG with adventurism and contemporariness. Now, the company is aiming to keep that reputation. MG cars are still the gutsy and edgy cars for the future.
