Lancia

Lancia is another Italian car manufacturer. The company was established in 1906 by car designer and engineer Vincenzio Lancia. The brand name Lancia was made really popular due to its many achievements and firsts in the global car industry.

As a automobile maker, Lancia was known for coming up with new and better innovations that further beefed up each of the company's striving car models. Lancia in 1969 officially became and affiliate and a brand name maintained and owned by the Fiat group. Within Fiat, Lancia was able to grow not just as a company but also as a brand.

What was so distinct about Lancia? For one, Lancia is the only company that used ancient Greek letters in its logo. This style initially made the car's brand attention catching. The unique branding strategy was so huge and successful that even today, Lancia would still be in the maps of effective branding initiatives.

In 1956, at a time when car makers were then arguing over the pros and cons of right-hand or left-hand drives, Lancia was the first global car firm that aired intention to help increase the use of unique right-hand drive system. That can be considered a winning feat for Lancia because it exemplified and demonstrated its strong will and determination to do things in its own ways.

Of course, to be mentioned are Lancia's design and development of the first ever V-6 engines. The V8 and the V12 car models are being researched and recognized all over the world. Now, some old Lancia cars of whatever version or model are being sought after all around the world by different collectors.

In production all over the world, Lancia was a force to beat. It slowly but surely took London and the whole of the United Kingdom because of the company's highly recognised brand and products. The car brand was also successful in the United States, although Americans are known to be politically appreciative especially during the 1950s to 1960s.

Lancia's past car models reached a total of 29 vehicles. Currently, the company is still maintaining relationships with buyers and dealers. Now, Lancia has four major groups within this area. Such car models include Lancia Phedra, Lancia Thesis, Lancia Musa and Lancia Ypsilon. Yes, people are correct, such Greek characters already took the brand style and systems by storm.

Because of its long expertise in car making, the car producer is being badgered by several parties for possible development of motor sports cars. Supporters in the car maker can attest that the high performance of engines and overall safety for the driver would truly be an effective characteristic of car manufacturer.

Other achievements of Lancia include innovative measures that include the development of a body shell that is load-bearing, suspension of front wheels independently, integration of transmission tunnel into the car's floors and incorporation of a load-structure of the car.

There are many other reasons why Lancia are so cherished. However, because nothing is permanent in the world, the fame and popularity of Lancia has already faded. But for sure, the brand name will last a lifetime within the hearts and minds of Lancia brand followers.
