Pagani

Look, down the road. It's not an ostrich but it's fast. It's not a jet but its soars. It's a supercar. And when it comes to supercars, Pagani is the name on everyone's lips. Italy must be really proud to be the home country of this latest car development.

As with a lot of recently established car companies, Pagani Automobili SpA is an Italian car manufacturer. The firm is best known for making supercars, which is a high-performance sports car, intended originally for the very high-end market.

To date, Pagani has only one car model, called the Zonda. The assembly process of the car model has aided the close relationship between Pagani and DaimlerChrysler AG. That is because as a start-up, Pagani was not able to fully furnish itself and produce the major car parts needed for the development of the Zonda and of future car models.

Zonda is relying on the V-12 DOHC engines that are produced by tuning division AMD of the Mercedes-Benz, which is DaimlerChrysler's subsidiary. Currently, there are three major variation of the Zonda. The company is still in the development offing for the unveiling and launch of its future line up of sports cars.

As a company, Pagani Automibili was established by Horacio Pagani, who is an Argentinian-Italian car designer and engineer based in Modena, Italy. Mr Pagani put up the Pagani Composite Research in 1988 and developed its supercar model. In the start, Pagani closely worked with the design and manufacturing of the Lamborghini, a high-end luxury car known globally. The Lamborghini is a great influence to Pagani cars.

The first car was called the C8 Project, later renamed the Fangion F1, in tribute to Juan Manuel Fangio. Then, the car model was eventually called the Zonda C12. The car was initially unveiled to the market at the annual Geneva Motor Show in 1999.

Though the carmaker is still a start-up company, the sales of its cars are truly promising. Any investor in his right mind would readily assert that Zonda cars of Pagani have the potential to be a blockbuster and in-demand car. That is because there are many unique features that are offered by the car. Pagani also offers many other services and characteristics that are otherwise found in other popular car models.

Pagani is the leader and pioneer in supercars. Supercar is a word that is used to refer to a kind of very high end and fashionable sports car. Supercars are considered rare because not all major and giant car manufacturers are able to design and develop one. Superior performance is ensured in supercars. That is because raw materials and the auto parts used are made of the highest quality and standards.

Because it is a supercar, you would expect that the Pagani would be released in the market expensively and you'd be right. The car is made and designed to target affluent car buyers. Thus, owning one would be a mark of status symbol. If you are driving a Pagani car, you must be really rich to afford the luxury of such a sports supercar.
